However, “Laila” has recently sparked controversy after veteran actor Prudhvi, known for his long career made sarcastic remarks that touched on a political group. This prompted supporters of the party to launch the ‘Boycott Laila’ protest campaign across social media platforms. We kindly urge everyone to view the film purely as a cinematic experience; we cannot control what our guests say at events.” An tearful Vishwak Sen said, “I genuinely regret what has occurred. With Ram Narayan at the helm at the director’s chair and producer Sahu Garipati producing, the film features Akanksha Sharma in the lead female role. Sahu Garipati expressed his astonishment regarding the reaction, stating, “We were taken aback by the ‘Boycott Laila’ trend, as we only learned about it through social media. However, if one individual makes a mistake, should the whole production team be held responsible? Is it fair to base a movie’s success based on a few tweets? His statements were made while we were receiving Chiranjeevi Garu, something we couldn’t manage. We should not be blamed for actions in which we played no part.” Prior to this controversy, “Laila” had already gained attention following the release of its trailer, with some viewers noting some details as unsettling. In light of these developments, Vishwak Sen and producer Sahu Garipati held to respond to the issue. We put in immense effort to this project, and I believe we should put this controversy to rest. As the release date approaches, it will be interesting to see how this situation will play out. We were completely unaware about Prudhvi’s comments, which are not connected with the film.
