Vicky Kaushal’s highly awaited historical drama, Chhaava, is set to release on February 14. Recently, the film’s theatrical trailer caused a stir due to a lezim dance sequence involving Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, which was interpreted negatively by some supporters of Sambhaji Maharaj. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the movie features Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role and is inspired by the life of the legendary Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. However, respecting the views of Maharaj’s followers, we chose to remove the dance from the film.” The movie is brought to life by the production house Maddock Films under Dinesh Vijan. In an thrilling development for cinema buffs, the renowned Vishwak Sen will transform into a female identity in the soon-to-be-released film “Laila,” under the direction of Ram Narayan. You’ll have to watch the film to uncover the real motivations.” Discussing the transformation process, he noted that it took approximately about 150 minutes, thanks to the expertise of makeup artist Nikki, who ensured a seamless look. It’s not just another adult film; rather, it’s a vibrant film, and I believe it will be remembered in my career.” When asked which character he preferred—Sonu or Laila—he replied, “Laila, for sure. I’m confident we will join forces again.” When asked why he chose not to promote the film in Laila’s attire, he responded, “In my opinion that Laila’s true essence should be experienced on the big screen. I was instantly driven to bring that joy to audiences. Additionally, there’s a unexpected actor that audiences are sure to enjoy, particularly Gullu Dada’s role.” Reflecting on his partnership with producer Sahu Garapati, he said, “Garapati a keen understanding of filmmaking and was the first to believe I could excel in this role. However, I am tempted to step back into the character’s persona. There’s also a cliffhanger scene that could lead to a next part; if the response is overwhelmingly positive, we might consider adding it in the week after the release.” As for his future projects, Vishwak shared, “I am set to start filming ‘Funky’ with Anudeep right after this, and we plan to announce the cast at the end of the month. While Laila steals the spotlight, Sonu’s chic lifestyle in the first half is enjoyable.” On the question of Sonu’s transformation into Laila, Vishwak elaborated, “He faces three significant challenges, and adopting the persona of Laila is his way of escaping the pressures.
